VSTORM is a reputable and progressive business with headquarters in Cape Town’s Northern suburbs. In order to increase our presence in the security installation industry and take on challenging projects that will come up in the future year, we are looking to hire Site Managers, Project Managers and Skilled Technical Specialists.

Qualifications for the position:

  • English and Afrikaans language proficiency;
  • no criminal history;
  • PSIRA registration;
  • a valid driver’s license;
  • access to reliable transportation to and from the BRACKENFELL office.
  • A current passport and a mobile phone.
  • Candidates should preferably live in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs or the neighboring areas, and they must be willing to travel within larger South Africa for assignments.
Responsibilities
• Installation of CCTV Surveillance systems (Hikvision, Dahua, TVT, Bosch and others beneficial)
• Installation of access control systems (Paxton, Impro, Hikvision, Virdi and other systems beneficial)
• Installation of Intruder alarms including commissioning, Paradox, IDS, Texecom and DSC preferred.
• Installation of wired, wireless data networks and commissioning of thereof.
• Installation, Maintenance and Service of Fire Detection Systems (Ziton, Technoswitch, Zyteq, C-Tek and more)
• Basic design and implementation of solutions.
• Good understanding of project deadlines, and costings
• Managing of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
• Undertaking of in service training for junior technicians
• Servicing and maintenance of above systems when required
• After hours call outs
• Basic administration, time sheets, job cards and feedback
• Be willing to work out of town if required and after hours when required
• Qualifications 5 years minimum on site experience
• PSIRA registered
• SAQCC registered
• Performing inspections and diagnosing any problems.
• Travelling to customer locations.
• Reading, understanding, and following product manuals.
• Install and program electronic security equipment in residential and commercial buildings
• Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras
• Attach electrical and telephone wiring in order to connect components
• Educating customers on care and maintenance.
• Writing service and status reports.
• Analyzing plans.
• Testing all features and equipment to ensure optimum functioning.
